Update

I know the last time I posted something (prior to the video of Alexis dancing) was before we had even moved. Well the move went wonderful! We've been in De Pere now for over a month. We are really enjoying our new place, new jobs and being back in Green Bay. Being back around family has been keeping us busy along with the holidays but it has been a lot of fun!

Alexis is 8 months old already which is just unbelievable! She is dancing a lot and she loves when we hold our hands our for her to "clap" them (which is just her hitting our hands) it is so adorable! She is all proud of her self and she knows she is the cutest.
Every month on the 21st we take pictures. Here is the 8 month one. I absolutely love this picture!

We just bought a new camera as our old one has been acting weird and I want to have a camera that is always working right with how Alexis does such cute things and does them quick. It's nice because I used just a little bit of the Christmas tip money I got from the paper route I do.

Here is a picture of Alexis all excited that Santa is almost here! hehe. This was taken the day before Christmas Eve when I finally finished wrapping everything...until the next day when my mom brought over all of her gifts she got every one for me to help wrap! Alexis even helped Grandma by playing with all the bows and throwing them every where..she really is a good help!

Now with the holidays almost done I am hoping things around here will slow down to update this a little more...but, I dont see that happening until Feb. We still have Kevin's side of Christmas to do...my moms 50th birthday on January 17th.

We had a wonderful Christmas! We hope every one that reads this did as well!

I hope real soon to get up pictures of Alexis first Christmas!

Alexis dancing

This is Alexis starting to dance while she plays her glow worm. She started doing this about a week and a half ago. Now with all the new toys she got from Christmas and all the songs each toy has she has been dancing a lot more.

Alexis dancing is by far the cutest thing! Maybe she will be a dancer like her mamma was!!!

Were MOVING!!!!!

Big changes are in store for us and we can not wait! We are moving back to Green bay (De Pere)!

Kevin has gotten a new job at VIP Lube in Howard. He will be changing oil and doing car stuff. Were very excited about his hours too! He will be working 8am-4pm or 10am-6pm during the week and even though he may have to work Saturdays they are only open 8am-3pm,closed Sundays and closed holidays! Kevin also will be going to NWTC come January as he will be doing general studies and come next fall he will starting the HVAC (heating and cooling) program. So this is very different for him as he has been in the news business for so long but he could not be more excited and ready for change! I am so excited for him as I know this will make him much more happier with a career change.

As for me, along with selling Avon, I will be taking over one of my dads paper routes with the Green Bay Press Gazette. I will be doing a route for a senior apartments in De Pere. It is the route I used to do before we had gotten married so I am very familiar with the place. Even though it is early in the morning I am very excited to be doing this route again! It's a fast route (only takes 45mins and I will be back home before Kevin gets up for work) I also have made friends with a few of the old folks that live there (including one that actually attended our wedding!)

I am beyond excited to get back to where I am from! I have missed Green Bay so much! My parents are very excited as well. They will be living about 2 miles away from us now!
This move has been in the works now for quiet some time because Milwaukee was just not the city for us to live in. And lets just face it, every body knows I would have given anything to move back to Green Bay :) Don't get me wrong though, Kevin is excited as well to be moving back to Green Bay. He loves being around Lambeau Field! I truly have an amazing husband that would do anything in his power to make me happy!

We have gotten a new place in West De Pere. (it is about 2 blocks down the road from the church we got married at) Sundays we will be able to walk to church it's so close, but of course when the weather is warmer next year!
It's a 2 bedroom, 2 FULL bath! With one bath room being connected through the master bedroom, garage where we only walk down stairs to get to so we don't have to carry Alexis out in the cold, first floor laundry with a washer and dryer, dishwasher, fire place, free gas and heat so I will be wearing shorts inside when it is -10 outside! It's an upper apartment with a patio deck and our back yard is all fields and a nice park for us to take Alexis too next spring. I'd say the place is about 5 years old or less so its very nice. Here are some pictures we took...

This is when you first walk in. Looking straight is the dinning room and then the kitchen. Off to the right is a large closet..who knows what I will fill that with!
Standing in part of our dinning room.
Alexis loves the ceiling fan so she sat and watched it while we took pictures
looking from our living room this is our kitchen. I love the fact that I will have a dishwasher and I love the island which has room for pots and pans underneath.
Standing in the dinning room..off to the left the living room..straight ahead where my dad is is Alexis room and off to the right is Kevin's man bathroom
our laundry room. Since there is no basement or upstairs its first floor laundry which was on my list of things to have at our new place. Another check off my list of things to have!

The girls bathroom! Lots of cabinets and off to the left is the shower and toilet. This bathroom even has a window in it which I love having!
Daddy putting Alexis on top of the fireplace! I love that it has vaulted ceilings!
Alexis bedroom. It has vaulted ceilings, and 2! big closets!! I think Mommy is going to have to do some more shopping to fill up another closet...darn!
Another full bath but this one is Kevin's. It has the standing shower and the girls one has the tub.

this is standing from the hallway looking at the dinning room, kevins bath room.

Alexis and me standing by the fire place. Awesome part is we don't pay to use the fire place.

Kevin starts his new job Monday Nov. 22nd!

So, as you can see, big changes are about to happen and this family is could not be more ready! (minus all the packing we have yet to finish)

6 months old/Snow suit

My princess is officially half a year old already! Time has always flown by but now that we have a daughter it's going by 20 x faster!

Here are some pictures I took for her 6 mths. We will be getting some done professionally next week along with her Halloween pictures.

Alexis is waving "hi!" with tons of drool!

This past week we went and bought Alexis a snow suit and a new hat and gloves for winter. We've been looking forward to buying her one since last winter (as much as I hate winter)

We found the snow suit at Old Navy and hat and there is matching gloves at Kohl's.

Such a happy baby!
We got the size 6-12 mths so it's kinda big on her but should fit her all winter.

New pictures

This is just a post with some random shots of Alexis. I take a lot more pictures on my phone..about 5 a day to send Kevin while he is at work so I just put them all on my computer. She always smiles a lot more for my phone camera since there is no bright red light unlike our camera. Here are some cute ones!
She loves to sit and play in her high chair. Usually I put about 10 different toys on the tray for her and she throws them off. Its pretty loud since we have hard wood floors!
Since Halloween is just about my favorite holiday I have to dress Alexis in Halloween gear!

Sitting up all by her self!
Grabbing her feet watching the Packer game. Her new favorite thing to do is eat her feet! We lay her on her changing table and right away she grabs her feet and starts to eat them. Then when we pull them away to change her she thinks shes funny and then rolls to her side. So goofy!
This was taken yesterday. Alexis LOVES Dakota! But Dakota is just kind of like ohhh boy..the baby! Dakota is very good around her though which is good.

Alexis first time going to the zoo!

On Wednesday Sept. 29th my parents came in town so all of us could go to the Milwaukee Zoo. We've all wanted to go but waited for the weather to cool down a bit. The weather was absolutely perfect! High 60's...totally sunny!

Before we went to the zoo, we all went to lunch at Fudruckers.
A huge, giant vulture!
Family picture by the elephants. The one behind us I said was dancing..she kept swaying back and forth. It was so cute!
Very pretty Jaguar! Every big cat we see some how reminds us of your cat Dakota!
The big lions were right up to the window just staring at every one. It was so neat! Their paws were like the size of Alexis head! Of course the lions reminded us of Dakota also.
The adorable Red Panda!
3 Giraffes. It was neat watching them eat the trees with their big, black tongues.
Alexis was such a good little baby the whole time we were at the zoo! She stayed awake most of it and as long as she could see everything she was fine and "talking"
My parents by the brown bears.
Grandma and Alexis! Alexis was determined to get my moms hair in her mouth! Do you all like Alexis shirt? It has all sorts of animals on it...I thought it was perfect for a day at the zoo!
I don't remember what this type of snake is and I hate snakes but this was so cool to watch this snake raise up like this! He even got higher after we had shut our camera off. Sooo glad it was in a cage!

We all had a lot of fun! It was also so nice not dealing with the crowds that we would have dealt with if we had gone on a weekend or in the summer.

Besides it being Alexis first time to the zoo it was also Kevins first time going to the Milwaukee Zoo. They both had a blast!

Madison came for a visit

Last year when Kevin and I were living in La Crescent, MN we had Madison stay with us for a week. Kind of like a last hooray of summer. So this year we decided to make it a tradition and had her come out to stay with us for a few days again. On Friday Aug. 20th my mom came down with Maddi..my mom stayed until Sunday and then on Monday my brother, Evan and Brandon came and then they all left on Tuesday.
It just amazes me that when I was Madison's age (11) she was Alexis age and I was holding Maddi. Now Maddi is holding my baby. Just shows how fast they really do grow up.
On Saturday Aug 21st Alexis turned 4 months old. I think this is an adorable picture of Maddi getting Alexis to smile and laugh.
Maddi loves babies! The end of summer she was watching Brielle, her niece and my God Daughter and she did so well!

On Saturday afternoon we went to Whole Foods with my mom for her diet. While my mom looked for her stuff she needed Maddi and I went around the whole store (which is pretty big!) and taste tested everything we could. Most was very digusting! Except for pita chips and this cinnamon bread. I, being the picky eater I am, tried goat cheese! So gross! By the end of trying everything I needed a soda so bad and of course they didn't have any!

On Sunday we made tie blankets. She helped me make Alexis one that I am holding (on the top corner of the blanket it says Lets Go Dancing) and I helped her make her's and it's the Disneys Little Mermaid. We had a lot of fun making them and we watched Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs and Old Dogs and ate Pita Chips.

On Monday Kevin had off so we went to Gurnee Mills in IL to do a little school clothes shopping for Maddi.
Kevin carrying Alexis in the Jeep carrier. She loved being able to see everything!
Maddi being goofy at Bass Pro Shop
Alexis wearing a Bass Pro Shops baseball hat. Still a little to big for her! Her shirt says "Who needs a piggy bank when you have daddy?" I thought it was perfect for going shopping!
The boys and Alexis hanging out while I got ready for the beach on Tuesday. Yes, my brother is wearing my Snuggie!
Myself and my two favorite girls at the beach
Watching Alexis reaction to her feet being in the sand and water. Which she loved!
Kevin, Evan and Brandon dug a big, deep hole and then berried Maddi in the sand!
Now its Evan's turn to be berried! After the boys got it all packed on Evan, Kevin walked over him!
Myself and sleepy head Alexis.
Maddi and I playing Uno while the boys played Kevin's new Madden game he had gotten on our shopping trip to Gurnee Mills.

I had such a good time with Maddi. She is so wonderful with Alexis, I think she held Alexis more while she was here then I did! I hope Kevin and I raise Alexis to be such a wonderful, caring young girl like Maddi is.

Until next year when Maddi stays with us again. Who knows, we may be in a new city!
